Auto-Sleeper Gloucester

  • Generous, modern bathroom
  • Adjustable orthopaedic double bed
  • Manageable steering
  • Plenty of grunt from the engine
  • Spacious interior
Launched in October 2009, the Auto-Sleeper Gloucester is available through Auckland Motorhomes (AMH) Power and performance The Auto-Sleeper is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform and powered with the latest low emission diesel and six-speed automatic transmission. It has enough grunt to tackle inclines and is a manageable steer in the corners. A handy feature is the camera and high resolution screen arrangement that replace the conventional rear view mirror. Interior Behind the swivelling captain’s chairs is the practical living area capable of accommodating six around the removable table (this seating also converts to a double bed). Lighting comes by way of the Heki panoramic roof. One of the draw-cards on the Auto-Sleeper is the generous bathroom with separate shower, heated towel rail and modern bowl-style basin. Another highlight is the electrically adjustable, orthopaedic double bed system in the stern. This innovative bedding could be the ticket to getting out and about comfortably. With plenty of storage space, all cabinetry is constructed from a solid ply, with a classic teak veneer that matches the honey coloured upholstery and removable carpets. The interior exhibits a high quality fit and finish that exceeded expectations for the price category. There’s 130L of fresh water, with an additional 13L cistern tank, 105 litres of grey water and 230-volt or gas heating and hot water. The kitchen incorporates a three-way 88-litre fridge, good bench space and an oven with gas and electric hotplates. Other stand-out features on the Gloucester include the electric step that automatically retracts when you start the vehicle, an external hose attachment that can be utilised as an outdoor shower, internal and external access to the under-floor lockers, and the snazzy flush-mounted awning.
