Hymer Group sold to Thor Industries


Thor Industries has recently acquired German motorhome and caravan manufacturer Erwin Hymer Group (EHG)

Thor Industries is made up of a family of RV companies that together combine as one of the world’s largest RV manufacturers.

Headquartered in Bad Waldsee, Germany, EHG is one of the premier manufacturers of recreational vehicles in a growing European market, with an impressive line-up of industry leading vehicle brands, including Bürstner, Carado, Dethleffs, Elddis, Hymer, and Niesmann+Bischoff.

EHG sells through a worldwide network of more than 1200 retail dealerships and employs with a portfolio that spans all major RV categories and price points, from lightweight travel trailers to high-end motorhomes.

Christian Hymer, son of the late founder, Erwin Hymer and member of the EHG Supervisory Board says, "With Thor Industries, our family has found the ideal new owner partner for the Erwin Hymer Group to successfully continue on its long-term growth and internationalisation path.
