New Zealand motorhome manufacturers are hard to come by, which makes Wendekreisen so special, as their factory and supplies are sourced within NZ

From their early days as an airfare ticketing service provider, family-owned business Wendekreisen has evolved into a successful and progressive motorhome manufacturer.

This year, the business has been accredited with the New Zealand Made logo—a reflection of their extensive efforts to support and promote the manufacturing sector within New Zealand.

"We’re very proud to be a licence holder of the New Zealand Made logo," Sascha Warnken, Wendekreisen’s managing director, says.

"It’s an acknowledgement of our commitment to sourcing materials from local suppliers only.

"There are very few New Zealand motorhome and campervan manufacturers. This is due to the fact that overseas imported product is cheaper, although not made for New Zealand conditions."

The New Zealand Made logo can only be used on products that are substantially transformed in New Zealand.

All of Wendekreisen’s main components are crafted within their Auckland factory. All furniture is manufactured and installed by their team and almost all mechanical components (tanks, LPG installations, heat exchangers, plumbing, etc) are sourced in New Zealand and installed in their factory.

All windows, upholstery, and curtains are also manufactured by their suppliers in New Zealand.

The Wendekreisen LDV Campervan range is quality value for money with a network of local warranties and aftersales support.

Koru Star 2ST Classic

Wendekreisen’s Koru Star 2ST Classic was launched in 2016. Built on the international award-winning V80 Biggest LDV van, the Koru Star 2ST features a range of modern materials and appliances.

In February this year, the business added a further two models—the U-Shape and the Walkthrough—to their range. Sascha says the combination of Wendekreisen and LDV provides customers with excellent value for money.

"The LDV V80 delivers a reliable, larger than HiAce-sized campervan solution at a very low cost."

Each of the three models has concealed ambient LED lighting in the rear as well as upgraded upholstery to achieve an edge.

The interior furniture is made to last with durable plywood covered by hard-wearing yet visually attractive veneer.

And because Wendekreisen is a member of the Master Joiners Association, customers know the standard of workmanship is extremely high.

Wendekreisen’s manufacturing processes, particularly those around comfort, space, style, and practicality are continuing to evolve.

"The voices of our customers are extremely important to us," Sascha says. "We’re committed to ensuring we respond to and meet the needs of our valued customers whenever possible."

The team at Wendekreisen has received excellent feedback on the new models. With the business continuing to go from strength to strength, the future is looking bright for this proud and innovative New Zealand company.
