2003 Coachmen Mirada 340MDS.

$119,000 ONO

Due to a change in circumstances we are selling our beloved American RV that we have travelled in for the last 12 months.

The RV was imported from American in 2007 and has had 3 previous kiwi owners.

The vehicle is 10.3 metres long, and has a slide out in the living area that extends the amount of living space (see photos). Because of the size / weight of the vehicle youll need a class 2 license - NOT a car license to drive this. We obtained this license in three days with ease with a local instructor.

We are currently in the Wellington region, North Island, until further notice. We are willing to deliver the vehicle free of charge to the buyer anywhere on the North Island. But before then you are welcome to view by arrangement!

Self containment certification expires in 2024, the vehicle is compliant for up to 4 people (sleeps 4 because of the sofa bed).

Here are the specifics:

Engine:
Ford V10 petrol 6.8 litre triton, Automatic.

Full Service completed October 2018 good for another 5,000 Miles. This was the most thorough service you could do without stripping and rebuilding the engine.

Weight:
RUC to 9 tonne - last weigh station the vehicle came in as 7.86 tonne with the water tank full.

Milage: 47,512 Miles.
Passed its most recent COF with no issues, due to expire July 2020.

Rego expires April 2020. 5 Seat belts.

COF:
CoF recently done and expires in July 2020. The recommendation was for drivers side bushes to be replaced within 6 months, previous recommendations included rust prevention on the chassis which weve addressed) and brakes - which on the last test were no worse than previously reported.

RUC:
3,000 kms paid for, only 2,000km of this has been used. We recently discovered the old hubodmeter had stopped working due to age, so we had this replaced - July 2019.

Fuel:
It is a petrol vehicle, the RV does between 3 - 6 KM per litre of 91 petrol. It sounds quite expensive, but when you use your AA Smart Fuel card (we average 30c a month discount on 50 Litres) or Kiwi Fuel Card (12c off at Mobil) in conjunction with the Fuel Excise Duty refund for recreational vehicles of 76c per litre your litre of fuel price starts to look very attractive.

The 76c Fuel Excise Duty refund is accessed each quarter by sending receipts and filling out some paperwork, fairly straight forward.

Exterior:

Roof - weve recently had the membrane of the roof upgraded (preventative measure to prolong the life of the vehicle) which has a 10 year guarantee - June 2019 (see pics).

Undersealing - The chassis and underbody of the vehicle has been professionally treated as a preventative measure to prolong the life of the vehicle - Nov 2018.

6 metre awning - great for the hot summer months.

Tyres x7, the ones on the vehicle are in very good condition. Spare is in reasonable condition also - though weve never had to use it, we keep it pumped incase.

20M Food grade hose pipe attached to the rear of the vehicle to ensure hassle free water collection and easy connection.

Automatic step for exiting the bus more easily.

New towball fitted April 2019.

Batteries and stuff:

The vehicle is setup to be fully off grid with enough solar and batteries not to need to connect to shore power --- ever.

The batteries charge via the solar during the day, they will also charge when you drive the vehicle in addition you can run the big boy generator and this will turn the inverter on and charge the batteries.

Its worth noting that the electrical system (As you might see in the pics) is American 120V and not 240V kiwi. The conversion has never been done on this vehicle and to be quite honest, weve found that all of our appliances such as laptops, phones, projectors and even our eBike can charge via the 12V or our smaller 120W inverter.

6 120Watt Solar panels 12volt (720W in total)
3.5kw inverter 120v
3x 180 amp hour house batteries about 3 years old.
Generator 5500 W - takes fuel directly from the petrol tank and can charge the batteries up in no time at all.
Heaps of storage space under the RV - heaps!
In June 2018 we replaced the gas cylinder with two 9kg gas bottles to keep up with gas certification. Gas was certified at the time.
4 self levelling jacks which mean youll always be on flat ground.
Spare tyre.
Ladder attached to the back of the vehicle that allows you to go up onto the roof.
4 skylights.

Interior:
Automatic 12V satellite freeview set up
New 5 kw diesel heater with remote control - we replaced the older (and less efficient) LPG heater during August as LPG doesnt work very well in cold conditions.. When you need a heater to work properly :)
Living area consists of: Dining table & 2 chairs, extra foldable table up the front, great for a computer set up or if you want a different dining view. 3 seater sofa that converts to a double sofa bed when slide out is fully extended. LED lighting through out.
Two captains swivel chairs up the front reupholstered by the previous owners
Radio, CD Player with GPS with built in colour screen - speakers are above driver & passenger seats and then two in the kitchen / dining area.
Reversing camera and monitor to help you park
Dashcam to record your journey
Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) a safety device which keeps an eye on your PSI and tyre temperatures. Alarming if they get above a certain range.
TV bracket is above the front door, but the TV itself is not shown in photos as it is in storage - weve been using a small projector to watch Netflix on. The TV in full working condition will be sold with the vehicle.
Kitchen is newly painted, new sink faucet, two custom made native hardwood chopping boards over the kitchen sinks that extend the worktop space.
Cooker including: Oven, grill, 4x hob spots
Extractor above cooker
120 L fridge freezer which runs off gas or the inverter.
Heaps of storage space for utensils.

Moving out of the living / dining area and into the rear of the vehicle:
Separate toilet area (thetford flushing toilet)
Shower with newly fitted shower head and faucet
Spacious vanity area with a large sink and medicine cabinet. We put a curtain between the bathroom area and the living area for extra privacy when guests have stayed with us.

Bedroom area consists of queen size island bed with headboard & heaps of storage for clothes etc. Safe in the cupboard.

New fire alarm, New CO alarm, LPG alarm & fire extinguisher included with the vehicle - all tested, all working.

Tanks:
Their is a 360 litre water tank under the bed, and a 25 litre hot water tank.
Grey tank is 185 litres,
Black tank is 185 litres. We can go off grid for around 10 days before we need to empty the grey tank typically. Its just the two of us.

We have loved every minute of living in this vehicle and travelling NZ, it is a well maintained vehicle which we have looked after well but were looking to spend more time in the UK with our parents who are not getting any younger.

Please note, bikes and bike rack not included in the sale.

Please email us at eyezeh@gmail.com or call 02041002244 if you have any questions about the motorhome and of course if you would like to view it.

Cheers,

Isaac & Dawn
