Taking the world’s most dangerous selfie at Kelly Tarlton’s in Auckland

From Monday 20 October, people who sign up to the Shark Cage experience can use a GoPro to snap themselves with one of the ocean's greatest predators just feet away. How's that for the ultimate selfie? Not for the faint hearted, you'll get closer than you imagined possible and then have the evidence to share with friends and family. At the end of the encounter the images and video footage will be loaded onto a memory stick to take home. You'll be able to show off your dare-devil experience on social media and relive your encounter for years to come. Kelly Tarlton's sales and marketing manager Claire Wheeler commented: "Kelly Tarlton's aims to offer every customer an extraordinary experience every visit and what better way to capture the surreal shark attraction than via your own personal video. We wanted to add a more personal dimension to the experience, which we think budding photographers will love." The GoPro is included in the price of the Shark Cage experience from $95. The experience is currently on offer at Kelly Tarlton's for visitors 15 years and over. Kelly Tarlton's is the home of New Zealand's largest collection of sharks and gives visitors the opportunity to discover what makes these creatures so intriguing in the Shark Mission undersea HQ. Marvel at huge real life Sand Tiger and Sevengill sharks and learn more through cutting-edge interactive touch screens profiling sharks, fun games, new shark quiz trail and more.
