Iconic Motorhomes celebrates 10 years

The company started trading as South Island Travel in November 2005 with a total focus on a rental fleet. Three years later the company took a change of direction with the introduction of the first European motorhomes in New Zealand with the purchase of Swift motorhomes in 2008.

The company’s first Bolero motorhomes were a big hit and continue to be the most popular choice of the rental fleet based in Auckland and Christchurch. The Bolero were followed the following year with the introduction of Kontiki and Voyager models and the fleet was completed with Sundance, Esprit and finally an Escape family layout to meet all areas of the market and budget.

After a relatively short rental life of 14-15 months, Iconic’s motorhomes are sold through the Christchurch yard. They are well received into the private market by anyone who is looking to purchase an as-new motorhome with an excellent warranty and on-going help and assistance.

Iconic director Kay Parker says, “The Iconic philosophy has been always focused on high customer satisfaction whether it’s for our holiday makers or our motorhome purchasers. Our rental clients are looking for new luxury motorhomes and our motorhome purchasers are looking for the same with the added bonus of good value.”

To celebrate its milestone birthday caravan buyers are in for a treat “Come and look at the 10 percent off deals on our 2015 new Swift Challenger and SE caravans which are all ready to go this summer. The caravan has been introduced this year to our sales yard and this will give our caravan buyers a great opportunity to get on board with a top of the range brand purchased locally.”

Iconic will be open at the Christchurch Camper Care Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a lunchtime BBQ, coffee and cookies for our visitors. Visit the sales yard 260 Ferry Road, Christchurch.
